Strait Regional Institute for Staff Development

All teachers are encouraged to take advantage of the SRISD funding available to support your professional development.   SRISD provides funding assistance to support teacher professional development, in accordance with the Teachers Provincial Agreement.

The Strait Regional Institute for Staff Development (SRISD) is a joint committee which includes both Strait Regional School Board and Nova Scotia Teachers Union representatives. SRISD works collaboratively to assist teachers in their pursuit of professional development opportunities.

Term, Probationary and Permanent contract teachers are eligible to access various levels of funding.  Long term substitute teachers are eligible to access funding for October Conferences only.
